Self-initiated concept — Fashion & Textile Design
Safran Nord
Persian geometry, cut for a Montréal winter.
- Problem
- A fictional Montréal label needs a print language of its own that holds from a swatch to a whole garment.
- Solution
- Three print families from Persian textile geometry (khatam, atlas and a winter check), three colourways each, tied together by one star monogram.
- Result
- Nine seamless repeats, technical flats for three garments, trims and a lookbook direction, all labelled as concept work.
My role Self-initiated concept · naming, identity, print design, garments
Self-initiated concept for a fictional Montréal label: three print families from Persian textile geometry, each in three colourways, and a first drop of three garments.
Part by part
From one star, a first drop
-
One star
The eight-point star of khatam inlay becomes the monogram, with a north tick.
-
Two scripts, one voice
The wordmark and the Persian name share one lockup on every tag and label.
-
Three print families
Khatam, Atlas and Nord check, each in three colourways.
-
A first drop
Camp shirt, chore jacket and hoodie, with flats and strike-offs.
-
Self-initiated concept
A fictional Montréal label, made to show textile and identity work together.

Credits & notes
- Fictional brand. Self-initiated concept, not a client project.
- Garment photographs generated with Magnific (Freepik) from text prompts; prints, trims and boards by Faraz Khadivdjam.
In short
One star and three repeats give the label a print range that grows by colourway, not by redesign.
